The factories behind your order
We don't own factories. We coordinate production across a network of partner plants in Foshan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan and Jiangmen — and this page explains what that network consists of, how we select it, and how you can check it for yourself.
We have put it up front because the question is going to be asked anyway, and a supplier who will not answer it does not deserve the order.
Our core partners
Most of our volume runs through five to eight plants we work with continuously. These are the ones we can describe in detail, and the ones a video call will most likely show you.
Some of our relationships are under confidentiality terms, and some are spot-capacity suppliers rather than core partners. What we can tell you precisely is which plant handles your specific models — that is in every quotation we send.
| Partner | City | Primary lines | Typical products | Since |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Partner A | [CITY], Guangdong | TPU injection, soft-touch finishing | Silicone cases, bumper cases | [YEAR] |
| Partner B | [CITY], Guangdong | PC injection, matte / frosted, printing | Hard cases, IMD and printed cases | [YEAR] |
| Partner C | [CITY], Guangdong | PU leather, tech fabric, packaging | Leather cases, retail boxes | [YEAR] |
| Partner D | [CITY], Guangdong | Magnetic assembly, screen printing | MagSafe cases, hybrid cases | [YEAR] |
| Partner E | [CITY], Guangdong | Screen protectors, small accessories | Tempered glass, earphone cases | [YEAR] |
We will name the specific plant for your models in your quotation — the city, the plant and the line. You will not be told "our production base". If a supplier cannot do that for you, that tells you something useful.
How partners are selected
We do not work with a plant because someone recommended it. Every partner has been through the same assessment.
Equipment capability
Does the plant run the specific line, at the volume we would send? A plant excellent at 5,000 pieces a month is the wrong partner for a 50,000-piece order.
Own QC function
In-house inspection, or a third-party inspector on site? We check this before the first order, because it determines whether anyone is checking before we are.
Existing certifications
ISO 9001 or equivalent, in current scope. We verify the certificate rather than accepting a photograph of it.
Communication
Can they answer a technical question in writing? Plants that fail on this are removed even if their production is excellent — because if they cannot confirm a detail, they will not tell us when something has gone wrong.
How we audit — and the honest limit of that
- Before a first order — site visit or live video, in person where possible.
- On a scheduled cycle for ongoing partners, and immediately after any quality complaint.
- Per order — goods are inspected at the plant before shipment, not once at the end. You receive photographs and a short video of the packed cartons.
- At consolidation — when several plants' goods come together, everything is checked against one agreed specification. If something is off, the shipment stops.
New partners are assessed before we place an order with them. Ongoing partners are re-audited on a cycle, not continuously — with a network this size, that is scheduled work, and a plant can change between visits. If last-visit date matters to you, ask, and we will tell you. We would rather you knew the limits of our process than assumed it was more thorough than it is.
Third-party inspection — SGS, BV or TÜV — is available on any order at your cost, and we act on the report even when it finds something against us. More on quality →
Seeing it for yourself
Three levels, and we will tell you which is available at which stage.
| What | When available | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Live video call with a partner plant | Before quoting, if you ask | You choose where the camera points. We suggest asking now rather than after sampling. |
| Video of the production line running your model | During production | Only possible once the model has entered production — which is why we cannot do this before your first order. |
| Site visit to the partner plant | After sampling | Welcome. We are not able to arrange visits before the sample stage. |
We will not send you to a plant that is not making your goods. If your order spans several plants, we tell you which is which before production starts.
What this arrangement does and does not give you
It gives you
- A 1,000-piece minimum on the whole order, not per model
- Stocked models from 10 pieces in a single colour
- Mixed-model orders no single factory will take
- Several product categories in one shipment
- One specification, one contact, one consolidated delivery
- Access to whichever plant runs your line best
It does not give you
- The lowest unit price at high volume — we have a margin, and it is typically 5–20%
- A production line you can stand next to, unannounced
- Exclusivity on the case design — standard tooling is shared
- Identical colour across models from different plants
- Removal of the single point of failure — you still depend on us
A production partner is one more party between you and the goods, and that is a real cost, not just a figure in a price comparison. What offsets it is that when a plant misses a date or a defect appears, there is someone whose business depends on your repeat order. Whether that is worth the margin is your judgement, not ours — and it usually becomes clear after the first order rather than before it.
Three questions about the network
Asked often enough that the answers should be here rather than in an email thread.
Live video calls are available before you quote, and you choose where the camera points. Site visits to the partner plant are welcome once you have sampled. We are not able to arrange visits before the sample stage — if that matters to you, please ask now rather than after sampling.
No. Our partners are organised by production line rather than size — TPU, PC, leather-texture, magnetic and accessories. For your order, we send each model to whichever plant runs that line well, and we tell you which plant and city before production starts.
New partners are assessed before we place an order with them, covering equipment capability, in-house QC, certifications and communication. Ongoing partners are re-audited on a cycle and after any quality complaint.
With a network this size, re-auditing is scheduled rather than continuous, and we will tell you when a plant was last visited. New plants get a full assessment before any order; existing ones are sampled by cycle and by complaint.
Ask which plant makes your models
Send us your product list. In the quotation you will get the city, the plant and the line for every model — and an invitation to see any of them on a live call before you commit to anything.
Or read our published checklist for vetting suppliers first.
